Two different plugs, two different use cases
A UK BS 1363 (Type G) 13A plug is the standard household 3-pin plug used throughout the UK, suited to a typical domestic socket for lower-power, slower charging. A 16A commando plug is an industrial-style connector suited to a dedicated circuit or outdoor installation with a higher continuous current.
The fuse requirement is built into BS 1363
UK household plugs are required to include a fuse inside the plug itself. A genuine BS 1363-standard adapter is built to this requirement; it is one of the details worth confirming with a seller before ordering.
Which one do you need?
If you are plugging into a standard UK household socket, BS 1363 is the correct match. If you have — or are installing — a dedicated 16A commando outlet for faster, more consistent charging, that is a different product and a different circuit requirement. Confirm which outlet you actually have installed before ordering.
