Tesla Adapters for Switzerland (Type J) and Italy (Type L)
Why Switzerland and Italy need their own Mobile Connector adapters, how fast each charges by Tesla's figures, and what to check before ordering.
| Adapter | Current | Max power | Range per hour |
|---|---|---|---|
| Switzerland (Type J) | 8–10A | 2.3 kW | 15 km/h |
| Italy (Type L) | 10–13A | 3 kW | 19 km/h |
Why Schuko doesn't cover them
Switzerland uses Type J sockets and Italy uses Type L, each with its own pin arrangement. Some Italian homes also have Schuko-compatible sockets, so look at the socket face first.
Check the socket rating
Both countries have lower-rated and 16A versions of their sockets. Read the marking on the socket and match the adapter to it; the car then applies Tesla's default household current.
Ordering
Send a photo of the socket and your connector's adapter end if you are unsure. 1–4 units can be ordered on the product page; for 5 or more, agree the order with us on WhatsApp.
