What Tesla already covers
Tesla's Australian Mobile Connector page lists a bundle for household outlets with 10A and 15A plugs, adding about 10 km of range per hour. Your customers come to you when they need something else: a 32A outlet at a caravan park or workshop, or an industrial socket on a farm or site.
How to size a first order
Most Australian shops and electricians start with 5–12 units, mixing the 32A single-phase model with one or two IEC 60309 models. That covers what customers ask for without tying up cash, and you reorder the models that move.
Import tax on a small order
The Australian Taxation Office says low-value goods (A$1,000 or less) imported by a GST-registered business generally have no customs duty or GST payable at the border, and an overseas seller should not charge GST if you give your ABN and confirm you are GST-registered. A small mixed order can fall under that value; larger orders clear normally.
Paperwork before you sell
Electricians and caravan stores will ask whether the adapter has RCM and SAA paperwork. Ask your supplier in writing which documents cover the exact SKU. Do not describe a product as approved or certified unless you hold the document that says so.
